Where and when is it?
The Strength of Spirit Games Rehabilitation Triathlon takes place on Thursday 27 June, 11am to 5pm at Tinside Lido and on Plymouth Hoe. Spectators can watch competitors swim from the balcony above Tinside Lido.
The Plymouth School Sports Partnership Junior Rowing Challenge runs from 10am to 11.15am on Plymouth Hoe.
What's On
Visitors can look forward to a thrilling day at the Strength of Spirit Games Rehabilitation Triathlon, hosted by the Royal Navy and sponsored by AECOM and The Royal Marines Charity. The games will see service personnel on recovery duties and veterans will compete in the swim, bike and row events. Teams include international representatives from the United States Marine Corps and Royal Netherlands Marine Corps.
The Strength of Spirit Games have been expanded to include The Plymouth School Sports Partnership Junior Rowing Challenge. Junior school children, from military families will take part in the Strength of Spirit Games on Plymouth Hoe for the first time. This exciting event will have pupils from 20 primary schools competing in a demanding rowing challenge.

Food and drink
You'll find a great range of food and drink available to purchase from the C&G Catering stalls across the Hoe. Please try using cash to make your purchases from the food and drink stalls as there can sometimes be signal issues on site.
We'd also encourage you to bring along your own reusable coffee cups and water bottles. There is a free water fill station which can be found next to the Plymouth Naval Memorial to help you stay hydrated!

There are plenty of ways to travel to the Strength of Spirit Games on Plymouth Hoe including bus, train, car, ferry, car, bike or by foot.

Access Information
The Strength of Spirit Games takes place on Plymouth Hoe, which is accessible to all with wide tarmac paths. All paths are suitable for wheelchairs and prams. There are grassy areas too and some seating.

Road closures
The following road closures will be in place for the Strength of Spirit Games Rehabilitation Triathlon on Thursday 27 June.
· Lockyer Street / Osbourne Place (from junction with Citadel Road to entrance to the Hoe) road closure and parking suspension 8.30am to 4.30pm on 27 June.
· Hoe Road (from Hoe Approach to the junction with Madeira Road) directional closure between Hoe Approach and Citadel mound 8.30am to 4.30pm on 27/6/24. Parking restriction from 9am on 26 June to 4.30pm on 27 June. Full road closure between Citadel mound and Madeira Road roundabout 8.30am to 4.30pm and parking suspension 7am to 4.30pm on 27 June
· Citadel Road (from the junction of Lockyer Street to Hoe Approach) directional closure 8.30am to 4.30pm 27 June. Parking restriction from 9am on 26 June to 4.30pm on 27 June
· Hoe Approach – Directional closure 8.30pm to 4.30pm on 27 June
