Junior Field Gun Competition

Future Fit Junior Field Gun is a unique and innovative sport that is showcasing the very best of our Plymouth children and young people, supporting their Wellbeing, building their resilience, and developing teamworking skills, that they can take forward into their future.

Junior Field Gun is now a mainstay of physical activity and team engagement in over 30 Primary Schools covering Plymouth and Cornwall. This represents around 43% of schools in Plymouth who are working with Future Fit to either run after-school Field Gun Clubs or have embedded Junior Field Gun into the curriculum.

​

In 2025 23 schools fiercely competed in the annual competition with thousands of spectators cheering them on.  It was the biggest competition to date; however, 4 new schools have joined the Field Gun community, and this year is expected to be even bigger and better than 2025.
